TodayJob helps job seekers in the United States and Canada find direct-apply job matches, draft cover letters, and build job-specific résumé drafts. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and how to contact us.
Information we collect
- Account information: email address, sign-in state, plan status, checkout session identifiers, subscription status, and account support messages.
- Résumé and application content: résumé text you paste, supported résumé files you upload, job preferences, generated cover letters, résumé suggestions, tailored résumé drafts, and application fields you choose to fill in.
- Job search activity: searches, filters, viewed jobs, liked/disliked jobs, match scores, and direct-apply workflow actions.
- Payment information: Stripe processes card numbers and payment methods. TodayJob receives limited billing data such as plan, customer email, Stripe customer/session/subscription IDs, and payment status.
- Technical information: browser, device, log, security, diagnostic, and performance data from our hosting and infrastructure providers. We also use browser storage to remember local sign-in, plan, and preview state on your device.
How we use information
- Match your résumé and preferences to relevant jobs.
- Generate cover letters, résumé suggestions, and tailored résumé drafts that you request.
- Create accounts, process checkout, unlock paid features, prevent fraud and abuse, and provide support.
- Improve search quality, product reliability, security, and the user experience.
- Comply with legal, tax, accounting, dispute, fraud prevention, and security obligations.
AI and résumé handling
When you ask TodayJob to generate a cover letter, résumé suggestions, or a tailored résumé draft, your résumé content and the relevant job description may be sent to our AI service provider to create the requested output. Do not upload information you do not want processed for job-matching and application-help features.
When we share information
We share information with service providers that help us operate TodayJob, including hosting, database, AI generation, logging/analytics, email forwarding, and Stripe billing. We may also share information if required by law, to protect rights and safety, to prevent abuse, or in connection with a business transfer. We do not sell résumé content or sell personal information. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Your choices and rights
You can choose not to paste or upload a résumé, but TodayJob needs résumé content to rank jobs and create application materials. You can request access, correction, deletion, or account help by emailing support@todayjob.io. Depending on where you live, including certain US states or Canada, you may have additional rights to access, correct, delete, export, or object to certain processing of personal information.
Retention
We keep information only as long as reasonably needed to provide the service, maintain billing and tax records, resolve disputes, improve safety, prevent fraud, and meet legal obligations. When we no longer need information, we delete it or de-identify it where practical.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect information. No internet service can be guaranteed to be perfectly secure, so please avoid uploading unnecessary sensitive information.
Children
TodayJob is for job seekers old enough to look for work and is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child provided personal information, contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.
Changes
We may update this policy as TodayJob changes. If changes are material, we will update the date above and provide notice where appropriate.
